WTF is Love always, Lejana.
A short intro about me, my work and what you can expect from my newsletter
If you’ve made it here, I can only suspect you have either read me before from what I post on Instagram or I happened to mention I enjoy writing and something sparked your interest, either way, I’m happy you are. I’ve introduced myself before, but I’ve gotten a few questions about my newsletter and what it is about - and from conversing about it with the people closest to me I came up with a new name for it. So let’s re-introduce ourselves, shall we?
‘Love always, Lejana’ is a compilation of letters, poems, drawings, diary entries from my dual self to the ether, - a personal, intimate and up-close look into my consciousness.
In a way, it’s how I converse with myself and process things, but also how I view myself and the world around me. It’s a part of my own experience with ‘dualistic perception,’ (essence and ego, love and fear, question and knowledge, even between my spanish and english). - I believe there is duality in all.
That’s why it will more often seem that I tend to contradict myself and only stumble upon random thoughts. And then sometimes, when weird and cosmically wonderful things happen, I land on insightful pieces of wisdom and knowledge (or so said by the people who have had a peek into my diary before). I guess you could call this a digital read of my ‘diary entries,’ but personally I’ve now liked to refer to it as a notebook - since I almost never retell the happenings of my days and how I felt. Most times, I simply write down ideas and questions, compose poetry, draw puzzling doodles, share pictures (even sometimes write down a prayer or two when I feel I need it).
I write, draw and quote (Walt Whitman, more often than not).
And my hope is that in a weird and wonderful way, you can find some relief, joy, wonder and Love in anything I share.
If you’ve read this far, I’ll leave you with this thought -
You can come to think of it as a stroll-walk conversation with another; a paused, reflective time filled with boggling occurrences.
And because this ‘voice,’ the stream of consciousness written here, sometimes feels estranged from my own essence - even alien to the hand who writes it, I’ve decided to name her ‘Lejana.’ And thus, her intimate compilation. Think of it as the digital and voluntarily shared version of Emily Dickinson’s letters or Didion’s take on keeping a journal.
‘Love always, Lejana’ is my own personal rendition of both of these ideas, sharing it publicly in the hopes that it serves and creates a community of safe, caring, vulnerable and loving beings that like to have open conversations, question themselves and others, and don’t cringe at the idea of depth and personal growth, but instead view it as a way to ‘uplift each other’s spirits’ (as Bell put it so beautifully once). So of course, it is lovingly intentioned - for my own self and all others who read it, comment on it, or just think of it and wonder.
Who knows.. maybe even inspires someone new to take a walk with their thoughts and a notebook at hand… and watch marvellous things happen.

The Community / Who is this for?
This space is meant for any who are curious and have a sezt for life. Any and all who wish to question their own consciousness and learn something new about their subconscious. For any who have gone through physical and mental challenges and have overcome them by becoming more in tuned with themselves. This space is for you to feel seen, safe and loved- and at times mirrored. And if anything of what I’ve said makes you cringe, then this is probably not for you… or maybe it is.
How does this work?!
If you’re a tech dummy like myself, you won’t have to worry about much of that in this space. Substack is a newsletter that, if you subscribe, you’ll receive it in your email inbox. For some unexplained reason (which I’m definitely not apt enough to answer) sometimes Substack’s emails get sent to your SPAM / PROMOTIONS section. To avoid this and make sure you catch what I write simply mark it as “not spam” so it goes straight into your primary inbox.
If you’re really eager, I’m sorry to dissapoint and say I don’t know how often this musings will come. Sometimes it may be every week, sometimes once every month, but either way I will try my best to ensure anything I write is honest, vulnerable and makes you feel something- anything.
